Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled DGPS Surveyor to support our drone-based surveying and mapping operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurate ground control point (GCP) collection, RTK/PPK setup, and geo-referencing data to enhance the precision of drone surveys across various industries such as agriculture, mining, construction, and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct field surveys using DGPS/RTK/PPK equipment to capture accurate geospatial data.
Establish Ground Control Points (GCPs) for drone-based photogrammetry and mapping missions.
Assist the drone team with mission planning, flight support, and post-processing of survey data.
Maintain and calibrate survey equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
Collaborate with GIS/Drone Data Processing teams to integrate DGPS data with aerial datasets.
Ensure compliance with safety and survey standards during field operations.
Prepare daily field reports, data logs, and documentation of surveyed areas.
Travel to various project sites as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geomatics, Surveying, or related field.
2+ years of experience using DGPS, RTK/PPK systems, and GIS tools.
Knowledge of survey data formats, coordinate systems, and geospatial referencing.
Familiarity with drone mapping workflows and software like Pix4D, DJI Terra, or Agisoft Metashape is a plus.
Ability to interpret topographic maps, CAD drawings, and GIS data.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to field accuracy.
Nice to Have:
Experience in drone operations or UAV flight support.
Certification in land surveying or drone piloting (DGCA/FAA).
Working knowledge of GIS platforms like QGIS or ArcGIS.
